About IDTA Areas
The Association has over 7,000 teachers in the UK and 17 Area Committees offering workshops, seminars, children’s days and competitions for IDTA members and their schools. Between the Areas, nearly fifty meetings are held each year all open to members at which leading experts in the field lecture or conduct workshops as appropriate.
Details of these meetings are published in the Association’s bi-monthly magazine Dance International and on the Events page of our website. IDTA members can attend all or any of the meetings. The majority of the meetings are held without charge to members on production of their current membership card. Other qualified teachers and bona fide students are permitted to attend on payment of a fee – but this does not allow them access to special business meetings, which are restricted to members only.
